For the purpose of efficient preventive maintenance and repair of the Customer’s equipment, “SMNPO-Engineering” company has state-of-the-art engineering capabilities and well-qualified personnel.
Timely maintenance and repair of equipment is a guarantee that the equipment will operate properly for a long period of time. Equipment design, production, installation, aftersales service and repair – these are the kinds of services that, in the ideal case, should be ordered from one contractor. Maintenance and repair of the equipment shall be carried out by competent personnel. Equipment designed and manufactured by a specialized company is a guarantee of time and financial savings. The customer receives a guarantee of the quality of the work performed and the opportunity to cooperate upon the favorable terms.
“SMNPO-Engineering” JSC performs both preventive and scheduled repairs, as well as emergency repairs, providing the following services to the Customer:
- Monitoring the equipment condition and issuing a technical proposal for repair;
- Elimination of breakdowns, replacement of faulty and worn out units and parts;
- Replacement of filtering components, fluids and lubricants;
Setup and adjustment of equipment; - Monitoring the operation of all equipment systems after repair.
In order to detect malfunctions and causes of breakdown, “SMNPO-Engineering” JSC has the necessary diagnostic equipment. After repair, the equipment will be adjusted, the warranty period for its operation will be determined. RECOVERY OF WORN PARTS
“SMNPO-Engineering” JSC performs recovery activities for the worn parts.
The methods for recovery of worn-out surfaces used at the Company are the following:
- Locksmith and mechanical;
- Using welding and weld deposit;
- Application of electroplatings
Locksmith and mechanical method for parts recovery is used in most situations and even after other methods (welding, weld deposit, metal plating, etc.) – for refinement. The method is the most applicable for flat surfaces (guides, wedges, straps, etc.) and cylindrical surfaces (shafts, axes, screws, casing bores, etc.).
The method of recovering metal parts by welding and weld deposit is applied when it is necessary to obtain permanent joints, return the original dimensions to strongly deformed or even destroyed elements, and also increase the resistance of surfaces to physical effects by depositing harder materials, thus extending significantly the overall service life of the product.
Electroplating. The traditional method is chrome plating, i.e. application of chrome layer onto the surface, whereby one can not only return the original geometry of the worn-off element, but also to increase its hardness. Iron plating, the build-up of a steel layer (2-3 mm or more thick) by electroplating, makes it possible to return the original geometry when the previous options considered are not applicable. It is also possible to restore the original dimensions of the part surface using hard nickel plating.

EQUIPMENT RETROFIT
Equipment retrofit is a natural innovation process that moves companies forward. “SMNPO-Engineering” JSC is ready to carry out work on the retrofit of equipment manufactured by the Company.
Retrofit purposes:
- Implementation of new technologies or improvement of existing ones;
- Enhancement of equipment operating efficiency, reduction of the resources consumed by equipment for the item production;
- Increase of the automation and mechanization level of equipment operation, use of new monitoring and control systems of production processes using electronic computing and other complexes;
- Quality improvement for the item produced and/or processed by the equipment;
- Increase of the equipment operation safety level;
- Reduction of harmful emissions into the environment, etc.
“SMNPO-Engineering” JSC can perform both partial retrofit, which is carried out in relation to units or elements of equipment, as well as complex retrofit, resulting in qualitative changes in the technological process.
Stages of equipment retrofit:
- Carrying out the survey in order to determine the degree of wear and tear of equipment, features of its configuration and completeness, limitations in the retrofit possibilities;
- Development and agreement of technical assignment for retrofit;
- Development of technical documentation;
- Development of programs and test methods for retrofit equipment;
- Development of plan for implementation of equipment retrofit;
- Delivery of all the necessary materials and specialists to the site;
- Execution of works on dismantling (if necessary), assembly and installation of elements of the retrofit equipment;
- Adjustment and check of operation of all mechanisms, testing of each installed component, adjustment of the control system;
- Acceptance and commissioning of the retrofit equipment.
